COURSE INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS AND VISITORS
As we have now entered our winter stage of the season, the course is now being played from forward tees, and the visitor green fee per person per round has been reduced to £20.
Due to the course being shortened, it is now no longer a certified measured course under WHS, and therefore it is not possible to submit a qualifying score for handicapping purposes. Qualifying scores will only be possible when we revert to our summer tees in April 2021. We hope this will not detract from your enjoyment of your round, as the course is still well presented considering the time of year, weather conditions and essential course maintenance that has been carried out.
CORING OF GREENS
The greenkeeping staff plan to start coring greens and tees on Monday 12th October. If you can spare an hour or two please come along on Monday morning and bring a snow shovel if you have one. The more volunteers we get the quicker the job will be done. This is essential maintainence and will help keep the greens in good health. Thanks in advance to those who attend.
CLOSURE OF BAR AND CATERING SERVICES
Due to the recent Covid - 19 restrictions placed on Licensed premises, it has been decided to close the bar and catering services as from 6pm on Friday 9th October 2020. They will remain closed until the restrictions are either eased or withdrawn. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

PLEA FOR VOLUNTEERS
Following the short but severe spell of extreme weather yesterday ( Saturday 10th August), paths and bunkers across the whole course have been badly damaged due to either being washed away or having soil/sand/silt deposited on or in them.
Our greenkeeping staff are already working on them but due to the size of the job we ask that if you can spare a couple of hours any day this week to come and help them please come up to the clubhouse and we will direct you from there. Thanks in advance.
KINGUSSIE OPEN 2019
Thanks to the hard work put in by our greenkeepers and several volunteers who gave their time to help, our course was beautifully presented for the 2019 Kingussie Open. The early starters got the best of the weather as there were a few heavy showers in the afternoon. The competition was made more interesting with the kind donation of a hole in one prize of a 4 night stay at a luxury highland lodge by Highland Hideouts, a local holiday home management company. They also donated a bottle of malt for nearest the pin at the same hole, the 16th, should the hole in one not be achieved. From the 109 players who attempted the shot, 2 actually hit the pin from the tee, but neither ball fell into the hole. The whisky was won by a Kingussie member, Brian Wilson.
Kingussie member Brian Shaw shot a creditable gross 68 to take the Illingworth Trophy by 1 shot from Stevie McIntosh from Muir of Ord. Brian also won the Sangster Trophy, awarded to the best handicap score by a Kingussie player. Please see the full results under "Opens", then "Results".
Thank you to all who made the day a success including Ann Nield, Jan Filshie and Alana McLaren who helped with the scorecards and updated the master scoreboard, Teresa behind the bar, Paul the chef and his team, our manager Deirdre who helped in the back office, and of course the greenkeepers and volunteers who helped get the course back to near normal following the heavy rain.
SATURDAY 31ST AUGUST 2019 - COURSE CLOSED
